Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, diced
- 1/4 c. chopped onions
- 2 cans pork and beans
- 1/4 c. tomato ketchup
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of garlic powder
Method
- Saute the bacon until almost crisp.
- Add the chopped onions; continue to saute until bacon is crisp.
- Drain fat.
- Combine bacon, onions, pork and beans, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
- Pour into a 1-quart casserole.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 375° oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until beans are hot.
- Stir occasionally.
- Serves 6.
- Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
