Ingredients

  • 1 (7 ounce) boxkellogg's croutons or 1 (8 ounce) bag stuffing cubes
  • 12 challah, cubed (egg bread)
  • 14 lb butter
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 (4 ounce) canschopped mixed mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 13 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (10 ounce) can chicken broth, diluted with
  • 1 (10 ounce) can water

Method

  • Melt butter in a large skillet and saute onions, celery, and mushrooms.
  • Mix vegetables with bread cubes.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning.
  • Beat eggs and add to stuffing.
  • Add chicken broth and water, turning the stuffing with 2 forks.
  • Use a light touch.
  • Never use spoons.
  • This is enough stuffing for 10-12 pound turkey.
  • Can also be baked in oven at 350 degrees.
