Ingredients

  • 1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. brandy
  • 1 c. maraschino cherries, including juice
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. brandy
  • 1 c. sliced peaches, including the juice
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. brandy

Method

  • Combine the first 3 ingredients in a glass gallon jar; let set for 2 weeks, covered loosely with foil with a wooden spoon inserted through the foil to stir daily.
  • Do not remove foil or spoon.
  • Be sure to stir daily.
  • After 2 weeks, add the next 3 ingredients; let set 2 more weeks, stirring daily.
  • In the fourth week, add the next 3 ingredients; stir daily.
  • In the sixth week, strain fruit from the juice using a plastic strainer (do not use metal).
  • You may use fruit for ice cream topping.
  • Juice is starter for Friendship Cake.
