Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. cream
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. dry mustard
  • 10 oz. Cool Whip
  • assorted fresh fruits, sliced, chopped and drained well

Method

  • Melt butter and add vinegar.
  • Mix in beaten eggs and cream. In separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt and dry mustard.
  • Add egg mixture to dry mixture slowly.
  • Add butter and vinegar.
  • Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Let cool and refrigerate.
  • Add Cool Whip before serving.
  • Blend into assorted fresh fruit pieces.
  • May store sauce in refrigerator up to one month.
