Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (4 1/2 oz.) cans mushrooms
  • 1 (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp. fennel seed (optional)
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 12 oz. spaghetti
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt

Method

  • Spray a large skillet with Pam.
  • Add ground turkey, onion and pepper; cook and stir over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender, then drain.
  • Stir tomato sauce, mushrooms, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic salt and pepper. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat.
  • Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Cook spaghetti; omit oil and salt.
  • Serve sauce over spaghetti.
