Ingredients

  • 3 medium avocados
  • 14 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 12 jalapeno pepper, minced (more or less to taste)
  • 14 cup cilantro leaf, and upper stems chopped
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 lime, juice of
  • 12 teaspoon cumin
  • 12 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 roma tomato, chopped

Method

  • Scoop avocado pulp in a large mixing bowl with lime and toss to coat.
  • Drain and reserve lime juice.
  • Add salt, cumin and cayenne to bowl with avocados and mash.
  • Fold in the onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, cilantro and garlic.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of reserved lime juice.
  • Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour then serve.
