Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2/3 c. chile salsa or taco sauce
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
- 2 c. grated Cheddar or Jack cheese or combination of both
Method
- Fry ground beef and onion until brown and crumbly.
- Drain well.
- In baking dish, mix browned meat and onion with beans, 1/2 the salsa, all seasonings, all chopped chilies and half the cheese.
- Smooth out top of mixture and sprinkle with remaining grated cheese.
- Drizzle remaining salsa over top of cheese.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
- Serve with chips.
- (Dip can be garnished with sour cream and guacamole.)
