Ingredients
- 1 stick (1/2 c.) butter or margarine
- 1 to 2 pkg. graham cracker crumbs
- 1 small pkg. coconut
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- While the oven is heating, melt butter or margarine in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan in the oven.
- Cover the melted butter with the graham cracker crumbs and press into a crust.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips, coconut and walnuts over the crust.
- Pour the condensed milk over the top.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly brown.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
- Refrigerate to keep the bars firm.
