Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. ginger

Method

  • Cream the oil, sugar, eggs and molasses in a large bowl.
  • Stir in nuts and raisins.
  • Sift the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture; mix well. Refrigerate for several hours. Take 1 teaspoon dough and roll into a hot dog shape.
  • Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350°.
  • Makes 7 to 8 dozen.
