Ingredients
- 1 fryer, cut up
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 c. flour
- 2 c. Crisco oil
Method
- Heat oil in heavy skillet on medium.
- Season fryer.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Drop egg on fryer.
- Mix, coating every piece.
- Place one at a time into flour, coating each piece.
- Drop, skin side up, into medium hot oil.
- Fry 3 minutes.
- Turn and fry 3 more minutes. Cover with lid.
- Check fryer and turn 3 or 4 times every 4 minutes.
- Uncover and let chicken get golden brown and crispy.
