Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic
  • 12 oz. tomato paste
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. noodles
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 oz. cottage cheese
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Brown meat; drain fat.
  • Add garlic, onion, salt, pepper, tomato paste and water.
  • Simmer for 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Cook noodles as directed.
  • Mix eggs in cottage cheese.
  • Spread part of sauce in dish, then layer of noodles, sauce, cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese, then repeat.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
