Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) lemon yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp. zest of lemon peel

Method

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Blend in butter until crumbly. Combine yogurt and lemon zest, stir into flour mixture until just blended. Turn onto floured surface and flatten into a round about 1 inch thick. Cut into 8-10 wedges. Place onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12-14 minutes at 425°.
