Ingredients
- corn meal
- 2 c. skim milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 5 c. flour
- 2 packets dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Grease 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch) loaf pans.
- Sprinkle with corn meal.
- Shake out excess.
- Combine milk and water.
- Heat in microwave on High about 3 to 4 minutes (between 120° to 130° on thermometer).
- Mix 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda in large bowl.
- Add warm milk mixture and beat well.
- Blend in remaining flour and stir until dough is stiff.
- Knead in bowl.
