Ingredients

  • 2 qt. boiling water
  • 1 can chopped clams
  • 1 pkg. dashi-no-moto
  • handful of ebi (dried shrimp, optional)
  • 3 to 4 heaping Tbsp. white miso
  • green onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 block tofu, diced

Method

  • To
  • pot
  • of boiling water, add clams, dashi-no-moto and ebi. After
  • it
  • comes
  • to a boil, lower heat.
  • Add miso; stir with spoon until miso is dissolved.
  • Beat egg in a bowl, then stir into soup.
  • Add tofu and onion. While preparing soup, do not cover pot or leave it unattended.
  • After soup is done, you may cover pot and simmer over low heat.
