Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. light molasses
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 qt. popped corn

Method

  • Combine molasses, corn syrup & vinegar in sauce pan.
  • Cook stirring occasionally to 240 degrees.
  • Then continue cooking, stirring constantly to 270 degrees.
  • When done, add butter and stir only enough to mix.
  • Sprinkle the salt over the corn in a large bowl.
  • Then slowly pour the syrup over it, mixing well. Quickly shape into balls using as little pressure as possible.
