Ingredients

  • 12 cup shortening (half butter)
  • 12 cup jiff smooth peanut butter
  • 12 cup white sugar
  • 12 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 14 cups all-purpose flour
  • 34 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Mix thoroughly shortening, peanut butter, white sugar, brown sugar and egg.
  • Blend in flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
  • Cover and chill.
  • Heat oven to 375.
  • Lighty grease cookie sheet.
  • shape into one inch balls.
  • Press in a crisscross pattern with fork to flatten.
  • Place 2 inches apart.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until set but not hard.
