Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 c. Parmesan cheese
  • garlic powder (if desired)
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Rinse potatoes and dry.
  • Brush 1 tablespoon margarine on bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of cheese.
  • Toss potatoes with remaining margarine.
  • Layer 1/3 potatoes on bottom of pie plate; sprinkle with 1/3 of cheese; salt, pepper and garlic powder as desired.
  • Repeat with 2 more layers.
  • Bake at 400° for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and lightly browned.
