Ingredients

  • 14 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped basil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained and broken up
  • 2 small kaiser rolls, split
  • 4 slices tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil

Method

  • In a bowl, stir together mayo, Parmesan, basil and lemon juice.
  • Gently squeeze tuna to remove excess moisture and add it to the bowl.
  • Stir with a fork.
  • Lightly toast rolls.
  • Slather tuna over bottom halves.
  • Top with tomato slices and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Brush olive oil over the cut sides of tops and replace.
