Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, trim fat and cut into cubes
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 2 medium green peppers, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 to 3 tsp. sugar (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced

Method

  • Brown meat in hot oil in skillet.
  • Stir in water, onion, garlic salt and ginger.
  • Heat to boiling.
  • Reduce heat to simmer. Cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Add green pepper slices during last 5 minutes.
