Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 3 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. turmeric
- 3 lb. green beans
- 3 c. cider vinegar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 3 Tbsp. dill seed or head of dill
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- garlic
Method
- Combine sugar, vinegar, water, syrup, salt and turmeric. Bring to boil.
- Cook for 3 minutes.
- Cook beans about 10 minutes; drain.
- Pour hot syrup over beans.
- Put red pepper, 2 cloves garlic and dill in pint jars.
- Add beans and syrup.
- Seal. Process 10 minutes in hot water bath.
- Makes 4 pints.
