Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. sausage
- 2 lb. hamburger
- tomato juice
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. garlic salt
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- cabbage leaves
Method
- Mix raw hamburger, raw sausage, rice, garlic salt and salt together.
- Carefully take cabbage leaves off and blanch them in boiling water until pliable.
- Shape meat mixture into rolls, about 3 x 1 1/2-inches.
- Roll into cabbage leaf and place in a Dutch oven roaster.
- Cover with tomato juice and cook over low heat for about 3 hours.
