Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 8 slices pineapple, drained
- yellow cake mix (mix according to pkg. directions) *
Method
- Melt butter in large iron skillet.
- Sprinkle sugar over butter and arrange pineapple slices on sugar.
- (Place whole maraschino cherry in center of each pineapple slice, if desired, also can place pecan halves decoratively around pineapple slices, if desired.)
- Pour cake batter evenly over pineapple and bake at 350° until done.
- Let stand in skillet for 5 minutes.
- Then turn out on cake plate with pineapple side up.
