- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 Tbsp. mustard
- 1 1/2 lb. Polish sausage, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 (16 oz.) cans sauerkraut
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 8 oz. pkg. medium noodles
- 2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 3/4 c. whole wheat bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
Method
- Rinse kraut with cold water.
- Press to drain well.
- Combine onion, soup, milk and mustard in bowl.
- Blend well.
- Spread kraut in 13 x 9-inch greased baking dish.
- Top with sausage, then cheese.
- Mix crumbs and butter.
- Sprinkle over top.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour until noodles are tender.
