Ingredients

  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 2 tbsp semi-skimmed milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 4 None hamburger buns
  • 6-7 tbsp oil
  • 16 thin slices salami
  • 4 None pork cutlets, about 175g each
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 100 g shredded lettuce
  • 2 None red onions, sliced

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. For the garlic mayonnaise, mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, milk and garlic. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
  • Cut the rolls in half, brush the insides with 4 tbsp olive oil and briefly toast in a pan, cut sides down. Set aside.
  • In the hot pan, brown the salami then remove and set aside. Add 2-3 tbsp oil to the pan and brown the pork on both sides for about 2 mins, then season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a lined baking sheet, top with the cheese and bake for 6-8 mins. Meanwhile, fry the tomatoes in the pan.
  • Build the burger by first spreading the mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then adding a layer of lettuce, the pork, tomato, onion and salami. Drizzle with any extra mayonnaise and finish with the top half of the bun.
