Ingredients

  • 12 (6-inch lengths) string licorice
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows, divided
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 6 cups KELLOGGS RICE KRISPIES cereal
  • 1/2 cup M&Ms Brand Chocolate Candies
  • 1/2 cup decorating gels or ready-to-spread frosting

Method

  • Fold each licorice piece in half; push ends through marshmallow, leaving about 1-inch loop at top.
  • Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat.
  • Add remaining marshmallows; cook and stir until melted.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add cereal; stir until evenly coated.
  • Use buttered hands to shape 1/2 cup warm cereal mixture into ball around ends of each licorice loop to resemble ornament.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Decorate with remaining ingredients; cool completely.
