Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 c. quick cooking oats
  • 1/4 c. crunchy or smooth peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup

Method

  • In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine. Bring to a boil.
  • Boil for 3 minutes.
  • Stir in peanut butter and rolled oats.
  • Return to a boil and remove from heat.
  • Immediately drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper.
  • Cool.
  • Yields about 3 dozen.
