Ingredients
- 1 small head shredded and cooked cabbage
- 4 Tbsp. plain flour
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- saltine crackers, crushed
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Method
- Cook and drain cabbage.
- Make a sauce by melting butter.
- Add flour, salt and pepper.
- Cook until blended; add milk.
- Cook until it's a thin white sauce.
- Line bottom of buttered casserole dish with crushed crackers.
- Alternate cabbage and white sauce.
- Top with crushed crackers and dot with butter.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
