Ingredients

  • 4 best nectarines, not over ripe but juicy, cut in half and stoned
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp dark rum
  • 1 tbsp brandy
  • 4 scoops. vanilla ice cream, creme fraiche or double ( heavy or thick) cream optional

Method

  • cut nectarines into halves , remove stone , brush the cut side with honey mix, place cut side up under broiler.
  • or cut side down onto griddle pan.
  • Cook either way until warm and slightly charred, but still firm.
  • About 5-10 minutes depending on sice of fruit
  • serve with either icecream, creme fraiche or cream as an option.
  • Drizzle leftover honey and brandy/rum mixture and serve
