Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
- Dissolve yeast in water; add salt, sugar and flour.
- Knead 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add more flour as necessary to reduce stickiness. Twist dough into shape of cars, trucks, airplanes, animals, flowers, trees, gingerbread boys, numerals or circles.
- Place on Teflon baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
