- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 lb. ground beef chuck
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. chopped green onion
- 3/4 c. shredded cheese
Method
- Cook noodles according to instructions.
- Rinse and drain. Melt butter in skillet.
- Stir in meat and cook.
- Stir in tomato sauce, salt, garlic salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Fold together noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream and onion.
- Put half of this mixture in bottom of 2 1/2-quart casserole, then 1/2 meat mixture on it and repeat layers.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
