Ingredients

  • 1/2 cube butter or margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 cup flour (enough for thin paste)
  • 1/4 tsp. onion salt
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 6 pieces of uncooked chicken
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup white wine, optional

Method

  • Melt butter.
  • Fry butter and flour in sauce pan on medium heat till dark brown.
  • Immediately add water and stir till smooth. Add remaining ingredients.
  • Cook on low heat until chicken is tender. You can either cook dumplings in the fricassee gravy or serve over cooked rice.
