Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. fresh broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp. peanut oil or salad oil
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed
  • red pepper slices

Method

  • Rinse broccoli.
  • Peel tough outer stalks, pulling up from ends of stalks.
  • Slice diagonally into bite-size pieces.
  • Steam about 5 minutes or until barely tender.
  • Heat the oil and soy sauce.
  • Toss in broccoli.
  • Heat 1 to 2 minutes longer.
  • Place in serving dish. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed and red pepper slices and serve. Makes 4 servings.
