Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. pork
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 sliced green pepper
  • 1/4 c. sliced onion
  • 2 1/2 c. pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. soy sauce

Method

  • Brown meat; add water.
  • Cover and simmer 1 hour.
  • Do not boil. Combine green pepper, onions and pineapple chunks, reserving syrup. Set aside.
  • Combine brown sugar and cornstarch.
  • Add pineapple syrup.
  • Mix well and add remaining ingredients.
  • Add all other ingredients to meat.
  • Cook until thickened.
  • Add pineapple, onion and pepper.
