Ingredients
- 4 1/2 c. cooking apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Crisco oil
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Method
- Stir first 3 ingredients together and let stand one hour. Sift together the flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; pour over apple mixture.
- Stir in pecans or walnuts.
- Pour into greased, floured Bundt pan.
- Bake at 350° for one hour or until pick comes out clean.
