Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter (not margarine)
  • 16 oz. dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 24 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Cream together the butter, brown sugar and sugar.
  • Add the vanilla and eggs.
  • Beat for 3 minutes. Add the flour, salt and baking soda.
  • Mix together all the ingredients as directed. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Put spoonfuls of dough on a sheet of foil on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
