Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 c. chicken stock
- 3 Tbsp. dry white wine
- pepper to taste
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 2/3 c. milk
- onion salt
- pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Method
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat; stir in flour until smooth.
- Cook and stir 1 minute more.
- Gradually whisk in stock and milk until smooth.
- Stir in remaining ingredients; cook and stir until sauce thickens and bubbles for one minute.
