Ingredients

  • 1 (2 layer size) pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 (4 serving size) pkg. vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 c. Mott's applesauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ground allspice (optional)
  • 1/2 c. raisins, finely chopped (optional)

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl.
  • Blend well, then beat at medium speed of electric mixer (4 minutes).
  • Pour in 2 greased and floured 8 x 4-inch loaf pans.
  • Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan 15 minutes.
  • Remove.
  • Finish cooling on a rack.
