- about 20 cukes, sliced
- 1 green pepper, cut up
- 3 onions, sliced
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. white vinegar
- 1/3 c. salt
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
- 2 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. kosher salt
- fresh garlic
- grape leaves
- fresh dill
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp. alum
Method
- Mix together in large covered jar.
- Wash and cut cukes into strips and put into jar mixture.
- Ready to eat instantly but the longer they are in the jar, the more dill they become.
- As you take some out, add more cukes.
