Ingredients

  • about 20 cukes, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, cut up
  • 3 onions, sliced
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. white vinegar
  • 1/3 c. salt
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 3/4 c. kosher salt
  • fresh garlic
  • grape leaves
  • fresh dill
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp. alum

Method

  • Mix together in large covered jar.
  • Wash and cut cukes into strips and put into jar mixture.
  • Ready to eat instantly but the longer they are in the jar, the more dill they become.
  • As you take some out, add more cukes.
