Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground round
  • 1 c. diced red onions
  • 1 c. Karo dark syrup
  • 3 to 4 oz. A.1. sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. Hellmann's Dijonnaise mustard

Method

  • Fry burgers on medium heat 6 to 8 minutes (semi-done); pour off grease except for small amount and remove burgers.
  • Cook onions for 2 to 3 minutes in grease; add Karo, A.1. sauce and Hellmann's Dijonnaise mustard and mix until liquid.
  • Put burgers back in and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Put burgers on buns and top with remaining juices for open-face sandwiches or top with favorite burger fixings and sauce.
  • Enjoy.
