Ingredients
- 1 peck large ripe tomatoes
- 6 green peppers
- 1 1/2 pt. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. mustard
- 6 large onions
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. ginger
- 1 nutmeg, grated
Method
- Peel, core and slice tomatoes.
- Chop onions and peppers.
- Put into large kettle.
- Add other ingredients. Stirring frequently, cook on top of stove until the consistency of ketchup (about 4 hours).
- Pack in jars while hot and seal.
