Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped prunes

Method

  • Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and beat until blended.
  • Combine flour, soda and salt.
  • Add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
  • Stir in vanilla, chocolate chips and prunes.
  • Spoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned. Gently remove from cookie sheets and let cool on wire racks.
