Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ cup icing sugar
  • ½ cup shredded coconut
  • ½ cup desiccated coconut
  • ½ cup ground almonds
  • ¼ cup flaked almonds
  • ¼ cup choc bits

Method

1. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, add icing sugar gradually, beating well after each addition.

2. Stir in coconut, almonds and choc bits. Drop tablespoonfuls of mixture onto greased baking trays, allow room for spreading.

3. Bake at 180°C for about 10–12 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool on trays for 1–2 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
