Ingredients

  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 3 to 4 pound boneless pot roast (2 inches thick)
  • 1 (11 ounce.) pkg. mixed dry fruit
  • 3/4 c. beer
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar, tightly packed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Spiced apple rings

Method

  • Place sliced onions on bottom of crock pot.
  • Place roast on top of onions (cut to fit pan).
  • Cover with dry fruit.
  • Mix remaining ingredients except apple rings and pour over roast.
  • Cover and cook on low setting 6 to 8 hrs.
  • Top with spiced apple rings and serve.
  • Makes 4 to 6 servings.
