Ingredients
- 1 pt. chopped cabbage
- 1 pt. sweet red peppers
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. celery seed, crushed
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 1 pt. white onions
- 1 pt. sweet green peppers
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 3 1/2 c. sugar
Method
- Soak peppers 24 hours in 1 cup salt and 1 gallon of water. Freshen in fresh water for 1 or 2 hours.
- Drain and chop each separate (then measure).
- Mix all together.
- Add seasonings and let stand in a crock overnight.
- Drain off vinegar.
- Remove bubbles, seal and process.
