Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 5 c. thinly sliced onions
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- 6 1/3 c. water
- 6 toast rounds
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
Method
- Saute onions in butter until golden brown. Sprinkle with pepper. Bring bouillon cubes and water to a boil. Add onions and salt. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
- Place 1 toast round in each soup dish. Pour in soup and sprinkle with cheese.
- Makes 6 servings.
