Ingredients

  • 8 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed

Method

  • Do not peel cucumbers.
  • Slice thin.
  • Soak slices in water to cover with 1 heaping tablespoonful salt added.
  • Soak for 1 hour. Drain.
  • Add chopped onion and chopped green pepper.
  • Mix sugar with vinegar and add celery seed and mustard seed.
  • Stir until dissolved.
  • Pour over cucumbers and freeze in plastic containers.
