Ingredients
- 8 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Method
- Do not peel cucumbers.
- Slice thin.
- Soak slices in water to cover with 1 heaping tablespoonful salt added.
- Soak for 1 hour. Drain.
- Add chopped onion and chopped green pepper.
- Mix sugar with vinegar and add celery seed and mustard seed.
- Stir until dissolved.
- Pour over cucumbers and freeze in plastic containers.
