Ingredients

  • 3 c. water
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 20 whole cloves
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 (32 oz.) bottle apple cider, chilled
  • 1 (24 oz.) bottle white or purple grape juice
  • juice of 6 lemons (1 c.)
  • ice
  • lemon slices

Method

  • In saucepan, combine water, sugar and spices.
  • Bring to boil, stirring, until sugar dissolves.
  • Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes. Chill; remove spices.
  • To serve, combine all ingredients in punch bowl.
  • For garnish, float lemon slices in punch.
  • Makes 12 cups (16 six-ounce servings).
