Ingredients

  • 1 filet Salted salmon
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 pinch Dashi stock granules
  • 1 *saltiness can be adjusted* Unsalted raw salmon, alternatively

Method

  • Sprinkle the salmon with sake and cover with plastic wrap.
  • Microwave for 3 to 5 minutes until cooked through while keeping an eye on it.
  • Check if it's cooked through while removing the skin and bones.
  • If you make a small amount, simply transfer the salmon meat and dashi stock granules into a mixing bowl, and crush into small pieces with a whisk.
  • When a big amount, use a food processor to flake, pulsing for 1 second increments while keeping an eye on it.
  • Spoon onto rice.
  • For a three-colored rice bowl.

  • I would also recommend eating it as is without flaking, as it is fluffy and delicious.
  • This is our family's favorite way to eat salmon these days.
  • You can use anytime if you make a big portions and store in the freezer.
  • It would work great when you have no time to cook, or to pack in a lunch box.
