Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
  • 2 1/2 c. biscuit mix
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 8 oz. yogurt cheese or cream cheese
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. strawberry preserves

Method

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water; let stand for 5 minutes. Add biscuit mix, 1 tablespoon sugar and eggs; stir well.
  • Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in a well-greased bowl, turning to grease top; cover and chill for 8 hours.
  • Punch dough down; turn out on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Roll into a 14 x 9-inch rectangle.
