Ingredients

  • 7 chicken thighs bone in skin on
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 7 oz bottle Malta India Beverage
  • 1 vegetable oil to fry
  • 7 oz bottle Malta India Beverage
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lite soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Heinez Ketchup

Method

  • season the skin side of chicken with half the spices
  • heat oil when hot add thighs skin side down season the other side
  • cook covered till blood appears then turn cook each side rotating back and forth turning every 3 minutes till done when done add malta beverage cook one side 3 and a half minutes turn cook 3 and a half more remove from heat set aside let rest
  • for the sauce heat quarter cup of oil add malta,
  • add ketchup and all ingredients except cornstarch and quarter cup of water
  • mix water and cornstarch when sauce boils add half cornstarch solution whisk well when starting to bubble add the rest stir it will thicken
